FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Appearance
Somewhere in the universe, this guy might be important, but here in Cadens, he's just that – some guy. The first thing immediately apparent about him is the web of scars that cover the right side of his face and intersect one of his eyes, causing it to appear whitish and glazed-over. On closer inspection, the scars originate from the knuckles of his right hand and extend up his arm, shoulder, chest, and neck – as if an electric current ran through him at some point, but healed some time ago. Otherwise, he has the face, build, and styled hair of someone who takes care of himself, and doesn't immediately come off as anything more than a normal human, especially with his greying temples and average height. He's muscular and fit for his age, but not overly built, and has other marks from old battles on his body, including a large circular scar in the middle of his chest.

Clothing
What he's wearing depends on where you meet him, but he tends to makes all of it look good. Someone cynical might conclude that he's obsessive about curating his look and fit, and getting across a certain brand that he's adapted to his steampunk surroundings... or maybe he's just got natural swag. He also often wears self-made sunglasses – it's unclear whether they're intended to hide his damaged eye or if he just likes them.

Demeanor
The guy's already talking a mile a minute before you realize you're the subject of his conversation. He's gesticulating, and pacing, and making references to things you may or may not understand, all while calling you a name you never agreed to respond to. Maybe you're immediately irked and turn in the opposite direction, or maybe you clock the sharp focus in his eyes and stay long enough to witness the speed with which he comes to cogent conclusions about you and the situation at hand. "Hi," he finally says, as if remembering you're there, "I'm Tony Stark, by the way."

Sensory
If your character's met a 21st century American, that's exactly what this guy sounds like. Get close enough to him and you might also detect whatever the Free Cities offers as far as high-end cologne, mixed with the distinct odor of... motor oil?

Living Space
A one-bedroom townhouse in a modest area of Cadens, though it seems he's given the bedroom to someone else and instead prefers to sleep on the sofa in the living area... or somewhere in the mess of mechanical tools and half-finished projects scattered around the room.

Horizon Appearance
In the Horizon, he doesn't have any trace of his damaged eye or scarring, and a keen observer would also be able to discern that this projection is also a few years older than his real-life self – with slightly lighter dyed hair.

ABILITIES
TECHNOLOGY
MECHANICAL GENIUS Although technically a 100% garden variety human, Tony is an almost preternaturally gifted AI programmer and mechanical engineer. The technology he develops in his free time is decades ahead of anything developed by entire governments or private companies on Earth, and his genius has allowed him to achieve feats that would be reasonably impossible for even the most brilliant real-life human. As such, it seems fair to state he's essentially got a form of technomancy that allows him to learn new concepts and technologies with unreal speed, paired with the ingenuity to apply those concepts to limited resources and still come out successful.
MAGIC
Identify A more grounded form of Identify. Manifests as a natural extension of Tony's latent "technomancy," and allows him to more easily grasp the properties of Abraxan Magic (New Magic in particular) and how it can be applied his own technological creations. From his perspective, he just intuitively learned all about Abraxan magic and how to study a magical object and assess its general properties, and isn't aware that the Singularity is helping him along.
Dad Music Tony emits a harmless magical radio frequency that can play any song he's reasonably familiar with. Because it's Tony, this tends to cover the gamut of classic rock – AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, et cetera. Nearby radio receivers can pick up this frequency and broadcast the audio. This all boils down to: Tony can now listen to his dad music while in the workshop.

TIMELINE
Arrives in Abraxas | April 2022
Pokes his head into a few advanced workshops in Cadens' academic/museum district to offer unsolicited advice. While technically cooperative with Cadens' post-event mandate, he mainly uses it as an excuse to scope out the government's technology, and is extremely sassy and disrespectful to the officials in the process.

Makes Friends, Makes Mischief | May 2022
Makes a bit of a scene directed toward Stephen Strange after Sam's Captain America speech. Also teams up with Viktor and Jayce to take part in the Migration quest to place devices around the academy... and snatches and disassembles one under the radar.

Gets Settled | June 2022
Takes up an Actual Job as a mechanic repairing things for people (thanks, he hates it). Continues to collaborate with Jayce Talis and Viktor, and runs into a new complication in the form of an old "friend".

Gets Schmoozing | July 2022
Bickers works alongside Viktor & Jayce during their formation of Rio Enterprises. Reaches out to acquaintances and friends of acquaintances in order to find inroads on expanding the venture's potential clientbase among the merchants of the Free Cities.

Helps, Unhelpfully | August 2022
Continues to contribute to Rio Enterprises' product line, and makes a general nuisance of himself on the duo's network regarding the mining operation – while also learning some sobering information. Declines to help in the crisis at Nocwich (oops), and keeps the device.

Search & Rescue | September 2022
Helps out with rescue efforts in Libertas, including the debut of Sam Wilson's new mechanical wingsuit (EXO-9R), which has already garnered some ongoing attention/interest from Cadens officials during its development, and whose technology Tony has refused – thus far – to replicate for the government.

Back from the Future | October 2022
Comes back from a five year memory download with noticeable evidence of physical injury from his death, as well as changes to his general demeanor from time spent living a life back home. Emotions run high as he grapples with the reality of his own death and place in the universe.

Move In, Move Out | November 2022
Peter moves in with Tony due to Peter's concern over his emotional state Tony's generosity with his "spare" bedroom. They fall into an easy familial pattern of living and working together – until one morning when Peter disappears. Though Tony scours the city and interrogates their mutual friends, there's no sign of the kid. He's gone.

PERMISSIONS
Fourthwalling
Characters can feel free to:
Recognize Tony's name/face from the MCU franchise (if it reasonably exists in their universe)
Recognize Tony's name from Marvel comic books (if they reasonably exist in their universe)
Recall/comment on basic aspects of his canon – e.g. that he's a billionaire superhero, etc.
Mistake him for Robert Downey Jr. and/or confuse him with another RDJ-played character
Please contact me beforehand if a character plans to:
Recall or share knowledge they've gleaned of detailed aspects of his canon (specific plot points in his movies, close relationships, personal demons, etc.) either with him or another character

CRAU / Previous Incarnation
Totally fine for your character to utilize knowledge they gleaned a different iteration of Tony or MCU canonmates – please just adhere to the same fourth-walling pointers above.

Mind-Reading / Manipulation
I'm generally fine with stuff like this, especially if it's to undermine Tony's sense of control over... anything. Would just need to discuss the parameters beforehand.

Fighting / Injuries
I am all about developing negative CR and any consequences thereof, so if you feel like your character would rub Tony the wrong way or vice versa, I'm totally for it! Please just ping me beforehand if it looks like things might come to actual blows and cause anything beyond minor scratches and bruises.

Romance
Tony desperately misses his wife and daughter, and despite knowing he'll likely never see them again, will have a hard time letting go of the idea that he's a faithful, married father. As such, he generally wouldn't be interested in getting intimate with anyone unless deep CR and specific circumstances eventually led to him letting go of his life back home. (Don't take him too seriously if he casually flirts and banters, however – he's still Tony Stark.)

GALLERY

Scars
Tony has returned from the grave with permanent damage from the cosmic power he wielded. Lines of small scars emanate from the knuckles of his right hand and extend up his arm, shoulder, chest, neck, and the side of his face, where corneal scarring over his right eye gives it a whitish, glazed-over appearance. Still – his arm works, he retains most of the hearing in his ear, and he can make out blobs of color with his eye, so. Could be worse. Could be dead.

Casual
Tony has adapted his curated "casual" style to the trends of Cadens, wearing nicely fitted shirts under vests made of wool or leather whenever he's out and about. Also wears his pants super tight.

Working
When working, Tony opts for rigs and belts to carry his multitude of tools, and swaps between dark-colored shirts or a full blacksmith's apron depending on how deep he's gone into a project. When in the workshop, he's usually much less obsessed with appearance and way more covered in oil stains.

Formal
Tony no longer has the disposable income to fund closets of Armani suits, but that doesn't prevent him from spending a disproportionate amount on looking good for formal occasions. His getups tick all the boxes of Free Cities fashion while still maintaining his trademark Stark flair – just don't ask him what he's going to do about rent this month.

Armor
Although Tony hasn't yet debuted a new Iron Man suit, he's drafted up some schematics that would fit both the materials and aesthetics of this new world.
